Autokid Drops Chicboy, helps MK Enterprise join q’finals

Autokid Manila eliminated Chicboy-Lipton’s quarter-final hope with a 63-57 win in the 7th Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) Fellowship Division – World Balance Cup at SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

Patrick Thomas “PT” Chin single-handedly matched the 13 point total output of Chicboy in the first period of play. Chin scored 18 of his team first 22 points of the game to help Autokid earn their seventh straight victory after starting the tournament with a 55-58 loss to the defending champion Koba Shutters.

Chicboy Grills Gerry’s, Koba Derails Autokid

Manchesteve Uy dominated the game with 20 points and 11 rebounds leading Chicboy-Lipton over Gerry’s Grill 52-44 in the 7th Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) Fellowship Division at SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

Jomar Albino and Kenson Ng combined for 21 points for Gerry’s Grill as the whole team shot poorly making only 16 of their 77 attempts in their debut game at the tournament presented by World Balance..

Supreme-Olympia, Snowbird Sando Bags off to a good start

Supreme-Olympia and Snowbird Sando Bags both started their Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) campaign on a winning note at SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

Manchesfer Uy had 15 points for Supreme-Olympia enabling them to escape with a 48-47 win over Wishcraft Events team of Coach Edmund Tang.

Stewart Velmonte and Jeff Ongteco also combined for 18 points for Supreme-Olympia team of Coach Steven Quan.

Koba Shutters, Zoom Courier and MK Enterprise win on Opening Day

Opening Day 7th GABLDefending Champion Koba Shutters opened the 7th Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) with a 62-56 win over the revamped Byzmo Team at the newly built SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

New recruit Vincent Dy from the 40 years old and above alumni team led the balance scoring attack of Koba with 12 point making 4 of his 7 attempts from rainbow area. Backing him up is another new recruit from 40-above alumni team Peter Coseip and 22-under alumni team candidate JV Ong with 10 points apiece.

Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) 7th Season Preview

World Balance partners with GABL in aiming to strengthen friendship through sports, starts the tournament with a triple header as after the brief opening ceremony

Defending champion Koba Shutters of Coach Philip Lim is composed mostly of players from GCC Alumni 40-48 team, will rely on their experience this season as all of the players, except two (JV Ong and Jarred Sy), are thirty-three years old and older.  Former league MVP Jerry Ong and last season’s Finals MVP Edwin Herrera parades four new recruits to add more fire power to their already star-studded line up.

King Eagle Opens 7th GABL

7th GABL OpeningThe 7th season of Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) formally started at the newly built SGS Stadium on February 19, 2012.  No less than Ateneo Blue Eagles Team Captain Kirk Long was present to give an inspirational message during the opening ceremony.

Grace Alumni League

We are organizing the Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) that aims to foster camaraderie and friendship of Gracians through sports.  Games were played at the cement court of our Alma Mater for the past six (6) years, but for this coming season, games will be shifted to a newly built gym along Araneta Avenue.  The gym features a very high quality basketball court (by Connor Sports Flooring) with lockers and shower rooms.   The competition is divided into 2 Divisions

Phl cagebelles draw elite teams in Fiba Asia U-16

Grace Alumni 32-39 years old Basketball Team wins Game 1 of the Xavier Stallion’s Cup Inter Alumni Basketball Tournament last November 30, 2010 at Jacinto Tiu Gymnasium in Xavier School. Game 2 of the Best-of-Three Finals series against Hope Alumni Team is scheduled on December 5, 2011 Monday 8:00PM also at Jacinto Tiu Gymnasium in Xavier School.

GCC sophomore high school student Hazelle Yam was selected to be part of the Hijas Pilipinas U16 Girls Basketball Team. The team will be competing in the 2nd FIBA Asia U16 Championship for Women in Jinan, China
