King Eagle Opens 7th GABL

The 7th season of Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) formally started at the newly built SGS Stadium on February 19, 2012. No less than Ateneo Blue Eagles Team Captain Kirk Long was present to give an inspirational message during the opening ceremony.
World Balance partners with GABL in aiming to strengthen friendship through sports, starts the tournament with a triple header as after the brief opening ceremony.
The simple opening ceremony graced by GCC President Dr. James L. Tan, GAA President Brian Kinyeung Lam and GAA EVP Atty. Gabriel Dee hosted by Miss Carolyn Batay of Pinoy Big Brothers.
Grace Christian College Glee Club Members Audrey, Lyra, Johntee, Tychicus, Christian and Kim led the singing of National Anthem and School Hymn, followed by Dr. Tan who made the welcome remarks. Last Season’s MVP Patrick Thomas Chin led the Oath of Sportsmanship. The crowd loudly applauded when GAA President Brian Lam declared the 7th season open.
The event also has the backing of Bounty Fresh Chicken, Licton Industial Corp, GCC batch 1978, Alpha Water Heaters, Great Wall Cars and Grace Christian College.
The muse of each team was given gift certificate courtesy of Lay Bare Galleria and Eastwood and also Cozy Nails, Children who came to the opening ceremony were also given Sponge Bob and Dora Loot bags. Enjoy the games every Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and get a chance to win prizes courtesy of Philips Automotive Lamps.
The organizers, speakers and guests had meals courtesy of Octoboy, Aqua Safe and Summit Drinking Water.
