Autokid Manila eliminated Chicboy-Lipton’s quarter-final hope with a 63-57 win in the 7th Grace Alumni Basketball League (GABL) Fellowship Division – World Balance Cup at SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

Patrick Thomas “PT” Chin single-handedly matched the 13 point total output of Chicboy in the first period of play. Chin scored 18 of his team first 22 points of the game to help Autokid earn their seventh straight victory after starting the tournament with a 55-58 loss to the defending champion Koba Shutters.

Chicboy-Lipton bowed out of the tournament, suffering their fifth loss in eight games. Chicboy actually has the same win-loss record as MK Enterprise (3-5) but MK Enterprise will take the number 8 quarter-finals slot due to “win-over-the-other”.

Benhur Quing Jr finished with a game-high 26 points for Chicboy.

World Balance aims to strengthen friendship through sports together with the tournament.

In the other game, Byzmo eliminates Wishcraft, 60-40, to set up a sudden death quarter-finals game against Snowbird Sando Bags.

Paul Tan scored 10 of his team’s first 12 points to frustrate Wishcraft’s quarter-finals chance. Tan finished with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals for Byzmo who finished with 5-3 win-loss record to grab the fifth seed in the quarter finals round.

Alex Tan and Mandee Yao finished with 14 points apiece for Wishcraft.

Carbery Group also finished with (5-3) win-loss record but secured the third seed in the quarters due to superior quotient over fourth seed Snowbird Sando Bags (5-3) and sixth seed Zoom Courier (5-3)
